BUSHKILL, PA (SUMMER 2014) - Fernwood and The Villas at Tree Tops and Fairway Resort have once again joined with Shawnee Mountain and the Pocono Garlic Growers as one of the sponsors of the two day Pocono Garlic Festival held at Shawnee Mountain on Labor Day Weekend, August 30 – 31, 2014 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm daily. Gina Bertucci, spokesperson for the Resort said, "The Garlic Festival is a very popular annual event that attracts thousands of garlic lovers. It is just up the road and a great way to spend the last unofficial weekend of summer in the Poconos."
Overnight packages include two tickets to the Festival and two nights of accommodations in a studio villa starting from $202 per night. Bertucci continues, "We recommend spending the day at the festival eating garlic, shopping for garlic related items, listening to music and enjoying the beauty of the Pocono Mountains. Then return to the resort to try one of our new attractions including Pocono Tree Ventures aerial ropes course, Pocono Zip Racer dual racing 1,000 ft zip lines and Blue Lightning All Season Tubing. After all that fun you can also take a swim or head out to the links for a round of golf.”
The Garlic Festival showcases the region's garlic, eateries, wineries, artisans and performers. With two outdoor stages, an outdoor activity area, indoor theatre and multiple strolling acts, festival goers will enjoy a wide variety of non-stop live music and 'garlic-themed' novelty shows and family entertainment.
Fernwood and The Villas at Tree Tops and Fairway make up a 400 acre four season resort located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains minutes from Shawnee Mountain. In addition to indoor and outdoor pools, they added three new attractions Pocono Zip Racer, Pocono TreeVentures and Blue Lightning Tubing.
